    This is a most delightful classic. The reader and listeners easily become fully engaged in its' rhyme and colourful imagery. For more than a century children speak gleefully of these wonderful creatures known as reindeer. The Night Before Christmas introduces each one by his or her name. It is so well written that new creatures..eg. Rudolph can blend right into its' woven fabric decades after it first arrived on the literary scene. The language paints clear and comical illustrations of the people who inhabit the landscape where this holiday story first takes flight. Even the most cynical have great difficulty while eventually failing to stem the tide of their own child-like awe. The Night Before Christmas manages to sustain the long held belief in the magic and wonder of this most auspicious time. It still handily captures minds and hearts of people the world over. This story in rhyme remains a must read during every holiday season.
