    This is a very personal look back the author's return to combat after the events documented in "Lone Survivor", as well as a much-needed fleshing out of that mission that went so horribly wrong. Marcus Luttrell tells us what service is all about, in no uncertain terms, in his own words, and in the words of others in the SOF community, including some of the wives and girlfriends. In writing this book he shines a light into some dark corners of military operations that some may find a bit uncomfortable, but he does it in a manner that honors the men who fought and died alongside him in the name of freedom. A must-read for anyone trying to make sense of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
